Virtual Learning 101: The Benefits of Live Instruction

Virtual Learning 101: The Benefits of Live Instruction

Recently, PTC University hosted a webinar where our world-class instructors came together and had an in-depth conversation about the many choices available when it comes to live product training. Students are always going to have varied learning styles – and that’s why delivery methodology is such an important consideration. Over the past year, our curriculum has undergone dramatic changes to drive more engagement and interaction in class. But the content itself can only go so far – it’s the instructors who truly bring it to life and drive a best-in-class experience. And we are lucky to have some of the best instructors in the industry. PTC University Instructor Umang Thanki said it best during the webinar when he said, “I love to teach. Providing solid direction to my students is my ultimate goal. To really answer their questions properly, and in a clear fashion, gives me deep personal satisfaction. And they deserve nothing less when they enroll in my class.”

So, when it comes to instructor-led training, PTC University offers you three choices:

  • LEARN Sessions
  • Public Classrooms
  • Private Trainings

Let’s break them down here. LEARN Sessions are three-hour virtual, instructor-led trainings (VILTs). You can purchase them individually, but the most cost-effective way is to sign up for a LEARN Online Subscription which provides you with unlimited access to the training catalog. These classes are designed to be interactive and include hands-on exercises and design challenges. You’ll engage with our instructors like Umang, collaborate with your peers, and build your skills in small groups. With a subscription, you can retake as many classes as you want as often as you want.

The next choice is the Public Classrooms. These are longer, multi-day public classes that provide students with a more traditional classroom experience. Courses may include up to five days of content to accelerate your learning process. You’ll learn alongside your peers in the industry and commit more time as you take a deeper and more comprehensive dive into the content.

And finally, private training is a tailored experience offered exclusively for students in your individual organization. For larger groups, this is likely the best value for your money. You’ll decide between either a virtual or in-person classroom experience where students have private access to the instructor.  He or she will teach your employees our courseware content in the context of what your business’s unique needs are.

So, now that you understand your choices for live instruction, let’s discuss some of the ways PTC University ensures you have a fantastic class. We try hard to make your experience seamless and hassle free. Instructor-led classes always use cloud-based VMs to ensure you have no barriers to entry and don’t need to contend with software licensing. We also provide up front guidance about how to set up your work station for the most effective learning experience and offer practical advice in advance to ensure you are prepared.

In conclusion, it’s our belief that the best instructors drive human connection in the classroom. During a virtual experience, sometimes having someone guide you along the way and create a custom pace, based on that individual classroom dynamic, is exactly what is needed to connect the dots. Your questions will be answered in real time by a person who cares about your experience. And at 78%, our net promoter score (NPS) is one of the highest in the industries. That’s a meaningful statistic because NPS is a measurement of customer loyalty and trust. It provides us solid data that students are highly rating our courses and are consistently finding value in these offerings. So, what are you waiting for? Join us today and commit to never stop learning. We’ll meet you in class.
